Transformation in a Church Body

What has been the way the LORD has transformed His people? What process do they normally go through as a church discovering the will of the LORD? What would a church body look for if they believe God is supernaturally using them as His people?

I believe you begin to see five responses:

1st Response: A Correct Heart Attitude Towards God’s Holiness

Isaiah 57:15
For thus says the High and Lofty One
Who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy:
“ I dwell in the high and holy place,
With him who has a contrite and humble spirit,
To revive the spirit of the humble,
And to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

Contrite:
1. caused by or showing sincere remorse. 2. filled with a sense of guilt and the desire for atonement;

Isaiah 66:1 Thus says the LORD:
“ Heaven is My throne,
And earth is My footstool.
Where is the house that you will build Me?
And where is the place of My rest?
2 For all those things My hand has made,
And all those things exist,”
Says the LORD.
“ But on this one will I look:
On him who is poor and of a contrite spirit,
And who trembles at My word.

2nd Response: A Hatred Of Sin

3rd Response: Private & Corporate Prayer

Acts 1:14 These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication,…

Acts 4:31 And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.

Acts 9:11 So the Lord said to him, “Arise and go to the street called Straight, and inquire at the house of Judas for one called Saul of Tarsus, for behold, he is praying.

4th Response: Immediate Obedience To The Revealed Will of God

1 Samuel 15:22 So Samuel said:
“Has the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices,
As in obeying the voice of the LORD?
Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice,
And to heed than the fat of rams.
23 For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft,
And stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry.

Mark 3:35 For whoever does the will of God is My brother and My sister and mother.”

1 Thessalonians 4:3 For this is the will of God, your sanctification:

1 Thessalonians 5:16 Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

1 Peter 4:1 Therefore, since Christ suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same mind, for he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin, 2 that he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh for the lusts of men, but for the will of God.

5th Response: Declaring to All the Works of God

Acts 14:27 Now when they had come and gathered the church together, they reported all that God had done with them, and that He had opened the door of faith to the Gentiles.

Romans 1:8 First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world.

When you see these five responses of the church body you know that this is the work of the LORD in their midst. Church, let's pray for the LORD to do things that only He can do --- REVIVE HIS PEOPLE!
