Baptisms

This morning in church we baptized a young man who gave his life to Christ two weeks earlier. He had invted his family and friends to watch as he bore witness of his relationship with Christ. It was a moving time. Joy and a sense of seriousness as he enters the arena of building the kingdom.

Acts 11:18 When they heard these things they became silent; and they glorified God, saying, “Then God has also granted to the Gentiles repentance to life.”

From the early days of Gentiles being accepted into this "new" faith til today, 2000 years later, God is still at work. God's kingdom is a powerful kingdom, silently and relentlessly winning soul after soul into His presence. The Truth marches on!

Later in the evening someone called and asked, "How do you lead people to Christ?" We are going for coffee at 10PM to learn together the keys to the Kingdom. A preacher could not want anything better than a person showing interest in the ways of the Spirit.

At the end of the morning worship a man and his wife walked forward. With tears streaming down her face, arm in arm, he said, "I'm ready!"

"Ready for what?" I asked.

"Ready to follow the LORD".

"Are you ready to give your life to Christ and follow Him in baptism?"

"Yes!"

Next week we will baptize this new disciple of Christ! The Kingdom of God working, transforming, impacting and forever moving onward! To God be the glory!

Again, wow. It was a good message and God is at work. "And He added to them daily..." We could pray for weekly at least.
